So many things to fix so many things on the block, it can feel like you’ve started to climb the mountain! Before you try to squeeze everything is off in your pocket, here’s a list to help you in solving the fundamental …

1st Passport

The first thing you think of when you want to start planning your trip, your passport. It may seem obvious, but you can not go anywhere without him, the most important thing when you know that check your passport does not expire until 2012 -! And do not forget to check the admission requirements of the country you are traveling to some countries will not let you in less than a year left on your passport.

2nd Visa

Traveling the world comes with some restrictions. So, before you travel, it is important that you find what you are. Some countries must obtain a visa prior to travel and must be requested as far in advance as possible.

You do not know your travel plans as you need, when you enter the country again, or if you want to travel outside the country, and then back again. All visas are different, but it is easy to find the information on specific government websites, you can also contact your tour operator for advice.

3rd Staying healthy

You should be fit enough to walk off in the rain forests and speed in Safari, your health should be given a high priority. Important that you consult your doctor before you travel. If you have somewhere to go even vaguely tropical, you need a few jabs before you go. And if you have a medical condition, you have the best way to deal with it when you are away to find. Remember, some countries have different opinions on some of it is useful, what you see and can not be made before departure.

4th Travel Warning

Even if politics and the world never before affairs’ve to know bothered what happens in the world, is more important than ever if you plan your trip. Thus, in the month before your trip a good idea to keep an eye on the travel warning. You can see the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website.

And surely only number, it is also a good idea to register with their service search. It helps the message information, is what happens when you are away, they soon make contact.

5th Travel Insurance

Another key to the main list, travel insurance. Important: If you are on a budget or not, the cost of medical treatment abroad, the move may be enormous. But with the right travel insurance you are covered. There are many insurers here for you to decide how much coverage you need depends on what you do. But remember, if you get a sabbatical or career break, you need a specialist insurance.

6th Language

Different cultures makes travel barriers exciting, but the language can travel difficult if you are on your own. It never hurts to invest a little time to learn the language. It is much easier to interact with local and be part of the community if you understand a bit of jargon. There are many courses available, so you go before you, or start a course, while you are away and really immerse themselves immersed in a culture!

7th Budget

First, it is important to ensure that you have enough money to travel and a little more if you need it to go. If you are not looking and then, to earn while you travel can be a good option. If you’re a regular income, then a TEFL qualification may be just what you need. It can help you, paid teaching jobs abroad. And more money for the trip is not the only advantage – you can also help people to learn English.

8th Essential Package

Each experience is different trip, then, is what people’s needs differ, what the other needs. Once you have booked your trip sit and think about what you need. It depends on the climate of the country you visit, accommodation you stay in business and intend to get involved in.

It sounds simple, but make a list, check each item and a bag that will fit all. Note that the bag back, get you for a long time to ensure that you are not you – you’re going with a heavy bag full of things you get tired.

This is not a complete solution, but it will help to eliminate the stress you are planning a trip. This means that less time and spend more time excited!

The world’s best music festivals. The world’s biggest and most famous music festival is the Salzburg Festival. Other delights include the important Austrian melomaniac Haydn Festival in Vienna and the International Chamber Music Festival. Tickets to the festival are cheapest if you buy them in Austria. http://www.austria-tourism.at “Tickets for Events in Austria” is an information sheet which is available from Austrian National Tourist Office, tel (212) 944-6880; website.

The world’s best horsemanship. The 400-year-old Spanish Riding School, located in the Hofburg, trains the noble white stallions that descend from the Spanish horses imported to Austria by Emperor Maximilian II in the 16th century. The horses dance to Viennese music, guided by expert riders wearing the hat traditional gold-buttoned uniform brown and gold-braided black. Performances are held at the school most Sunday mornings at 10:45 am and occasional Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. from March to June and September to December. It’s difficult to get tickets, write six months in advance to the Spanish Riding School, Hofburg, A-1010 Vienna, Austria, tel (43) 1-533-9031.

The most romantic hotel. Less than an hour from Vienna, the Schloss Durnstein, tel (43) 2-711-212, presides over a wide curve of the Danube River. Located deep in the wine district of Wachsu, this magnificent castle is surrounded by distinctive vine-clad hills, age-old ruins and timeless picturesque villages with one-lane streets. According to the legend, it was here that the imprisoned King Richard the Lionhearted was reunited with his faithful minstrel, who had sung his way across Europe searching for his master. So intriguing is the wine cellar (which can accommodate 8.000 “buckets” of wine), the arch-crossed cobbled courtyard and the 33 rooms all with chandeliers fronting the Danube.

GERMANY

Heidelberg, the most romantic town. Heidelberg is the hub of German Romanticism. Schumann began his career as a Romantic composer in this pretty town and Goethe fell in love here. Heidelberg is also the oldest university town in Germany and the site of scenes from the movie and opera The Student Prince. The best place to ramble in Heidelberg is the main road, which is lined with coffee houses and little shops. Have a drink in one of the cafes beneath the town hall. Or meander along Philosopher’s Walk, where Goethe and Hegel wandered. From the path you’ll have a bird’s-eye view of the city and Heidelberg Castle. Do not leave town without visiting the Electoral Palatinate Museum, where the 500 000-year-old jawbone of Heidelberg Man is kept.

Germany’s best fish market. The best fish market in Germany is held on Sunday mornings in Hamburg. This raucous but fun affair is located by the docks in Altona and begins at 5:00 am

Worms: the strangest history. The city of Worms has a strange name and an even stranger history. It was named for a legendary giant worm with initial and webbed feet that lived in the Rhine and demanded Human sacrifice. Worms was the fifth-century capital of the legendary Nibelungs. The tribe left the area, according to legend, after the wicked Hagen slew their hero, Siegfried and threw into the river their treasure. A huge statue of Hagen commemorates the story. The town was destroyed in A.D. 436 by Attila the Hun. In the center of the town’s old section is the tall, Spired Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, built in the 11th and 12th centuries. Worms has a huge statue of Martin Luther, the oldest synagogue in Germany, built in the 11th century and restored in 1961 and the oldest and largest Jewish cemetery in Europe. Tombstones date from the 11th century.

Hitler’s favorite hideout. The Eagle’s Nest House (also known as Eagle’s Nest), perched on a rocky crag above the town of Berchtesgaden, Hitler’s favorite hideout was. No wonder-the view from the hideaway-turned-restaurant is exhilarating. Anyone could develop delusions of grandeur here. Alpine peaks rise above cottony clouds at this level. The snow at their summits glistens in the sun. Below, a thick carpet of dark green pines stretches toward the valley. The road to Eagle’s Nest is so steep and dangerous lot that cars are not allowed to use it, you must take a special bus from the Obersalzberg-Hintereck parking. You can dine in the restaurant from mid-May through mid-October.

The world’s best passion play. Every 10 years, the world’s most moving passion play is performed in the shadows of the Alps in the little artisan town of Oberammergau. From May through September in years ending in zero, local amateur actors put aside their daily professions and devote themselves entirely to the play. Written in the 17th century, it enact Christ’s suffering between the Last Supper and his death. Villagers have performed the play every 10 years since the 17th century, when they vowed they would perform the passion if the black plague ceased. It did and they have. The picturesque house Passion (passion play theater) can be visited any time of the year. The huge open-air stage holds 700 actors and the theater’s wooden benches hold 5.200 people. You can see the elaborate costumes used during the passion play when you visit. Performances begin at 8:30 a.m. and finish at 6 pm, with a two-hour break for lunch. The best hotel is the Oberammergau Alois Lang. This quiet place has rooms with private bathrooms and three good dining rooms.

The world’s best asparagus. Every spring, Germans go-stalk raving mad, gorging themselves on the country’s white asparagus, or white asparagus. The German asparagus, introduced 2.000 years ago by the Romans, is plump and ivory white with delicate purple tips. It is prized among Epicures, who come from around the world every April, May and June to the world’s asparagus mecca. Asparagus is especially big business in Finthen, near Mainz, where all of 5.000 inhabitants are engaged in the cultivation of the white vegetable; in Lampertheim, Worms and Mannheim, where every housewife grows the prized vegetable in between her back yard, in Schrobenhausen, the center of the only area in southern Bavaria where asparagus is grown, and in Tettnang and Schwetzingen, known together as the asparagus capital of Australia.

“Be content with what you have, rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.” – Lao Tzu

There’s nothing like a really good holiday to recharge one’s batteries. Who would not love the idea of waking up late and spending lazy afternoons sipping sundowners on the beach? I know I would. But this time around, that fantasy would have to wait. Instead, I got nine days of non-stop flights, trekking through temples, and sailing down the Nile. Instead, I got to discover the magic of Egypt (and the undeniable efficiency of a guided tour).

Egypt is spectacular. Architectural wonders like the Pyramids and the Temple of Karnak prove once and for all that anything is possible and that we as people are so much smarter than by realize we. Can you imagine how different life would be if that society had survived and prospered up to now? The modern aspects were equally impressive and somewhat surprising for a city so old. Cairo’s energy was everywhere town, from the music to the fashion to the billboards all over. It was another reminder of just how small the world is and just how connected we all are.

The experience left me Feeling So grateful for all the things I have. It’s amazing how often we complain about our lives when they honestly are not that bad. Even though many in Egypt do not have much “stuff”, they’re still so much happier than people back here. Only 2% of Cairo’s 15 million inhabitants live in houses with yards. But instead of letting life in apartments faze them, children come together to play in local parks. I did not realize how friendly they are until the trip was over and I missed their happy smiles and eager waves. Perhaps it was all an attempt to milk tourists for baksheesh, then again, they’ve got to start somewhere.

That visceral sense of community is also quite evident in other aspects of Cairo life. Even though people drive like absolute maniacs in Egypt, ignoring the few working traffic lights and constantly making up lanes, they still respect each other. And even though I found crossing the street scarier than the time I went skydiving, I loved it all the same. There’s no such thing as road rage nor does anyone really care about the occasional scratch or bump. Those things are so petty. Nobody yells or screams when they get cut off simply because they know it’ll be their turn a few seconds later. In Egypt, driving fast is about keeping things moving. Back here, it’s about getting to your destination (all of two seconds sooner) with no regard for anyone else.

People in Egypt have mastered the art of good service and brilliant sales. They know how to make one feel welcome. Instead of acting at an early morning grumpy customs line (and having the audacity to ask for a bribe like was the case when we got home), they treat you with respect. Instead of sitting around and waiting for handouts, they go out and create opportunities for themselves. Some set up shop at the bazaar while others learn foreign languages just to be better guides. There’s something innately admirable about putting in an honest day of work. It’s the kind of initiative that clearly goes a long way.

As a big fan of football I have always had a bit of a love affair with Brazil. The way the people in Brazil approach the game has always made me want to go there. They are a people concerned with the aesthetics of the game – they are passionate and stylish, and there is something romantic and passionate about the people there. On top of that, the country looks to be absolutely beautiful, and anyone who has seen any footage of Rio de Janeiro will know that it is a beautiful place.

The fact that I loved Brazil didn’t really make me think that I would one day be able to go there though. To be honest I always just presumed that it was a continent too far and too expensive, but when I recently got a rather big pay rise I decided that I would start to investigate the possibility of going there. I start off by having a look When I got home I decided to have a look online just in case there was anything cheaper. From my first search I was amazed to see flights available for literally hundreds of pounds less than I had come across in the Travel Agents. As soon as I found some really cheap Brazil flights I booked them straight away. I wasn’t going to miss this opportunity for the world.

When I told my friends that I was going to Brazil they couldn’t believe it – they all thought it must have cost me thousands. That just goes to show the value of looking online for flights!
